quick question,
would I still be qualified or approved for this deal if I have a Citi Petropoint Mastercard?

No balance transfer fee on this offer - at least not for me. The rep was very clear about that.

As for having multiple CITI cards, it may depend. I have a CITI Driver's Edge MC, and had no trouble getting the 0% card.

Thanks - what the rep doesn't know may come back in form of writing... the writing on the card agreement says 1.5% fee.

I guess it's too late for this now if you get the balance transfer kit 3 months after approval?

It's hit and miss, if they find your old Citi card then they will reject you. So mostly the answer is no.

I applied for this and got a rejection saying "you already have a Citi card (Driver's Edge)". I then applied for the Citi PP M/C and they gave it to me, so it seems they will not give the promos to existing customers.

Just for kicks I thought I'd try to get another one of these CITIbank mastercards with the new code. I already have the Driver's Edge and a CITI gold mastercard 0% with one of the old codes expiring in January. These are great interest free loans!

Called and applied (received the offer in the email). CSR confirmed that the 1.5% fee on balance transfers would be waived for this 0% offer.

She also warned that I should wait for the 0% interest cheques and not make the mistake of using the 'regular' cheques which would be at 19.9%.

long thread. questions

1. what is minimum payment? (MBNA is 10/month)
2. what is bal transfer fee? (MBNA is 1%)
3. do you see them extending the offer to November, 2008 (or something) very soon?

I was thinking of waiting awhile to stagger when payments of this card and my $20k MBNA card come due, but it sounds like this card is pretty much renewable for the same offer.

thx.

Are there any deals similar to this that are currently being offered? On the application it says that if you apply it will take 3 weeks to get your BT kit (at which point Balance transfers will no longer be allowed at 0%).

Anyone have any other codes? Most of them say that the completed application + request for balance transfer must be completed by October 8 or October 15.
