No Ice cause it already cold, finish the drink and go to the drive thru and get a refill with light ice. 2 Drinks for the price of one.
any true RFD would keep the cup to get free refills all summer.

The pricing is correct. Since it is a carbonated drink, the tax charged is 13% (for Ontario). For the iced coffee , it would be $1.05 since only 5% tax is charged.
I'm looking at the Canadian Revenue Agency website, "the following when sold with a qualifying food or beverage item above
carbonated beverages dispensed at the place where they are sold"

Okay, so apparently you get the rebate (or PST exemption) if you buy your carbonated drink with something else that's eglible. Or if you want a Nestea.

This is for any Soda beverage, as McDonalds has free refills. Also, this year they got rid of the Large options for Dollar Drinks (Coke, Sprite, Juice).

So best way to get the best Value, Order medium Coke No Ice, Chug it, go back and refill with light ice for on the go purposes.

Really?... Cause I just got a large Coke for $1 (+ tax) yesterday.

Double checked Mcdonalds.ca... says "any size".

I don't have time for 10 pages, quick tell me how can I be the biggest slob? Reuse cups, make my own ice? What do I gotta do to stretch this Canadian dollar for the most.

No soft drinks, only McCafe types drinks (coffee, etc.).

And then will complain next year when they eliminate this promotion because people are misusing it :D
Free refills are valid during the same visit

Yes...I think someone else in the thread mentioned they usually order iced tea, even if that isn't what they are getting at the self serve fountain area which results in paying $1.05 instead of $1.13.

I always get the iced coffee, so it is $1.05

The website, email that I received through the app and digital menu-boards all say "Any Size" for the $1 Fountain Drink.

Went to McD's today and even though the signs in store say Any Size fountain drink the kiosk would only give small or med for a $1 and large was full price.

yea, I agree, if I am craving a mcgriddle and it's past breakfast
I just drench bagels/bread in maple syrup at home and make a sandwich, tastes the same and I put a ton of egg, meat and cheese in it.
