1 gig ram may be too much
Woah, I'm running 37 processes, including mirc, msn, dvd shrink (active), maxthon, encarta dictionary, windows explorer, windows media player classic, FTP server, PGP, zone alarm, etc.
Still 590mb ram free out of total of 1 gig.
big difference then when I was using 512 mb ddr

Games take a crapload. World of Warcraft ate up 290 megs when I checked TaskMan.

rams is cheap now, 512 samung for $80, or $50 at TD with shady rebates.
I use autocad at work, and it only eats up about 50 mb of ram._______________

I've got a server coming in a few days.... 2GB
Too much RAM is kinda like a car with too much performance. It just doesn't happen.

yeah, i really wish i had 2 gb right now also. but i won't bother until the memory controller on the new a64s can handle 4 x 512 @ 1t.
although i must say i've seen "grabit" as high as 790 MB when loading up a binary group

My computer grinds to a halt even with 2 gigs of ram. I guess having over 20 photoshop images going does that
More likely it is my pitiful 2.8 ghz processor
