120gb Maxtor HD's from Tiger---new???
Those cheap priced 120gb HD's from [rfdlink=http://forums.redflagdeals.com/autolink/redirectpage.php?linkid=147]Tiger Direct[/rfdlink], are they new? Here is a review from Tiger's web-site that I found very interesting(you get what you pay for?):link to Tiger

Summary:
I use Maxtor in my personal computers and all my builds exclusively! The drive purchased works great, HOWEVER...If you purchased 1 of these drives, and installed it without running a low level format I suggest you immediately download and run TDS-3 Professional.exe (A trojan remover), & run a full scan on the drive immediately. The drive received appeared brand new, but it was either re-manufactured, or used remanufactured parts in the mfg. process. I used the drive to build an ASUS S-presso mini unit for a customer that didn't have a floppy in it and after allowing Win XP Pro to set up 1 large partition (Drive H:, as C:-G: are memory card readers),& format the raw drive, loading all drivers & software on it (custom hand load, )...I ran TDS-3 which found a pre-existing C: w/ over 950 Infected File Traces already on the drive. Ergo 24 hrs. labor wasted. And it does have a 3 yr. Maxtor Diamond Max 16 warranty so my customer paid for 2 add'l. yrs. of warranty service for nothin

I guess what I'm trying to say is that [rfdlink=http://forums.redflagdeals.com/autolink/redirectpage.php?linkid=147]Tiger Direct[/rfdlink] might be selling re-manufactured items as new.
