1680 by 1050 resolution on a dell 4550 ati 9800 pro

I have a 2.43 g dell 4550 with a ati 9800 pro vidio card thinking of buying a samsung 22" widesreen lcd will I be able to run the native ressolution of 1680 by 1050

I do not see why not. If it's not listed in the display properties settings tab, then u can go into advanced timing settings and choose the vertical lines and horizontal lines.

Thannks I have not got the 22" lcd yet is it possable that the 1680 by 1050 res. will show when i connect monitor

When you plug in your new monitor it will inform your PC of it's supported resolutions, and then you'll be able to choose 1680x1050.

i'm currently using 9800pro with viewsonic 2025wm, 1680x1050 runs fine in many games

For 22" LCD ACER AL2216WBD 22" W-LCD BLACK 1680X1050 700:1 5MS WIDESCREEN is the best deal. Even Samsung use the same LCD Panel as acer.
so the specification is exactly the same. The samsung 215T is even more than there 22". I go to couple store to take a look for both and is really no different. But the price I find the lowest is ~$365.95 from SonexPC.com.

last week f shop had bobo on web sight 2 samsung monitors(225BW) and a ati x 1300 vidio card for 650.00 my brother got the deel before they removed it.
