what kind of certification are you preparing.. i need to run VMs as well ... want to build a machine.. is 16gb enough for running 3-4 VMs ... would be helpful if i can get some tips on building a decent machine without burning my pocket

I paid 138 bucks for Corsair Vengeance 4x8GB one year ago (and then sold a 4x4GB kit for $160 on CL that got replaced)... but I got lucky on that one. This deal is pretty close to that and it's not complete noname stuff either. But it doesn't matter there is no stock... I feel like this will not be that abnormal of a price soon for the remainder of DDR3's common life.

Depends on the operating system in the vm, and the contents.
