Well it is kinda dumb how you can't play PS3 exclusives on it. I mean one PS3 exclusives comes out in October..... So how do I play that if say I sell my PS3 for the PS4? Companies in video gaming are a little off in the head when it comes to strategies ya knooooooo

Not a bad deal for a new PS3, especially since new games are still coming out and will for some time. The reason the PS4 can't play its games are because of the complexity of the cell architecture. Unless Sony builds a PS3 into it (which would be costly and suck up lots of power) you'll have to own both consoles. I'm guessing by the time September rolls around the system might cost $170 or slightly less. Either way, it's not a bad price considering what you get with it.

No, that's what the hardware dictates. The PS4's architecture was designed to be simpler to work with. Even if they went with hardware emulation the cell is so complex it would be a nightmare to program for. Most people don't want to spend $599 on a new console again. Your games don't become obsolete when a new system comes out, this is also a solid deal for those who don't want to be early adopters and are waiting for next gen to go down in price (when it comes out).

I am pretty sure you will need to use Sony-recently-bought Gaikai to stream PS3 games on PS4. Could also be integrated / bundled with their Sony plus service.

ITs called making a profit off the old technology. SONY will continue to sell the PS3 even after PS4. They did it with PS2 as well. Same as Nintendo is selling Wii's after Wii U.

When the streaming service does come it will be for games bought on psn, anyone that buy the physical copy is sol. Plus I'm sure Sony will charge for this service. You also have to wonder how much bandwidth this service will use.
