1990 Honda Accord LX (question)

I just got my hands on a 90 Accord LX, 2 door, manual, with 222k on it.

The battery is dead so I need to get one to get it started only but I wanted to ask if it comes with A/C? I think I recall someone telling me the LX's dont come with A/C but Im not sure, can someone specify if this is true? Thanks

Can't you look for a switch or something in the car that says "A/C"?

The 1990 Accord was completely revamped, inside and out. The fourth-generation Accord grew in size, power and popularity (in fact, the Accord was the best-selling car in America for three years in a row, 1990-1992.) The hatchback was dropped, leaving a notchback coupe and a four-door sedan as available choices. Wheelbase was increased by nearly 5 inches (now 107.1 inches), and weight went up, though even the heaviest Accord, the EX four-door, still weighed less than 3000 pounds. Styling in and out was very clean and purposeful, with a low beltline, large greenhouse (window area) and slim roof pillars that minimized blind spots. The uncluttered and chiseled appearance of the '90 Accord gave an overall impression of quality and solidity. This notion was confirmed when one simply hopped in the car and shut the door or turned a knob to put on the headlights. Doors shut with a solid "thunk" and switchgear had a precise and satisfying action.

In keeping with Honda's logical system of offering a few versions of each car with increasing standard features (as opposed to the American car makers' philosophy of offering a confusing array of options and option packages), three trim levels were available. Very Funny,

I checked and it has the the temparature adjustment for cold but Im not sure if its installed, my fathers 92 LX has it but he doesnt have AC.

In general the Canadian LX didn't come with A/C. BTW the Canadian LX = American DX. Now I have a 92 LX Limited that does have A/C. But chances are that like mine after all this time it doesn't work anymore.

Thank you arcturus, I was just about to mention that U.s. Hondas were always different than Canadian ones.

The good thing about owning an old Accord is that buying and changing the black bumpers to colour coded ones should be pretty cheap.

It's the manual windows that would bug me!

my 90 ex doesnt have a moonroof

If I remember properly, my parents' old car (same model) did not ship with AC, but they got it anyways a few months down the road, which leads me to believe the AC is dealer installable.
