I was in a similar situation once. Unfortunately, from what I know and my experience, the only thing you can do is go get it it done at the dealer by providing them with your VIN. Fortunately, it's not that expensive. When I had it done, it costed me about ~$70.

1995 Dodge Caravan (Lost Keys!)
I lost my Caravan's keys yesterday night, and was wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation. Are there any affordable locksmiths? How much would the dealership charge me for a replacement key? Are there any locksmiths on this forum that can do the job? Are there any companies out there that can make me a replacement key if I provide them with my VIN number? Any help would be great, as this is extremely urgent! My other car is blocked inside the garage until I can get this moved.
It's a Dodge Caravan, with no alarm/security system; I don't see why a replacement key should cost much.

70$ for a key is very expensive, but too bad you need it and so you have to paid it even it' a rip off price.
Duplicate a back up before it happens!
I always carry a key even tho I'm not driving my car out and keep the spare one in a secure place at home.
To answer the question, yes, provide the VIN number to the dealership and the registration as well to proof that you are the legal owner of the car/van_______________

Well $70 wouldn't be i guess the worst thing for a lost key, it's cause it's being cut from the VIN that it costs more. So definately make another copy (cheap) after you get the replacement key.
If it's a transponder key it would definately have cost more, a transponder key for a Caravan cut from a key (not VIN) is over $120 i believe.
