If I was 5 years old I'd be all over these things.

I guess this just hasn't caught on here. I could run to Walmart right now and pick up and bunch of these things.

This is basically the hot ticket item for kids right now. One of the Walmart reps mentioned to me that as soon as the news reported Skylanders as the #2 most wanted item for kids just before Christmas - they have been flying off the shelves.
I'm just trying to find an air element and undead element character so that my son can unlock the other areas that require these types of characters.

Good idea for this threa op. my son is going crazy trying to find more. They are sold out everywhere except the main game pack. Some of these individual guys are going for over $30 each on eBay. Crazy

You're definitely in the boonies then, as all the WM, FS, BB, etc. stores around here are totally cleaned out. Like as in, totally empty shelves without a single Skylander on them.
I only ended up buying the extra toys the kids requested for Christmas, and it wasn't that hard to find even the tough ones (like the Zap/Hex/Dino-Rang bundle) in November but things have definitely changed.

No, you can get by with the starter pack but there are lots of areas or sections within a level that can only be unlocked by a certain character type/element - that's where the hook is because Activision knows that all the kids will bug their parents for these other characters.

I have a credit on a gift card, can I use my gc online to order?
Playing the game with all 32 characters will cost over $300! Rough calculation of the 3-packs for $25.
Edit: made my order online and used my edge credit/gc, but they charged me taxes. I thought with the edge card the taxes are included, i.e. what you see is what you pay and the exact amount just comes off the card.Last edited by BluEL; Jan 7th, 2012 at 11:26 AM.
