is this software easy for a dental professional professional corporation? i think my tax situation is pretty straightfoward but i know very little about taxes.

My accountant charges close to $2500 for business and personal taxes; i was hoping to save on that expense this year and do it myself.

My dentist is charging $1500 for a crown, that's an obscene amount of money for one little tooth, what tools do you suggest I should buy to do it myself?

On a serious note I suggest you do few more fillings in a year to make up for the fee your accountant is charging you to file your taxes.

This is respectful statement. I guess you are have great brain and hands.
You probably change carpet, replace windows, grow own tomato --
of course in self-build green house. Change oil and timing belt,
build a shed and fix leaking roof. You run distillery and have
couple of old-whiskey cherry barrels. You save money on
making children toys and ice-cream, saw own tuxedo and trousers.

So, all you need to do tax youself is getting two products form Intuit:
(there are many options out there -- but Intuit is what I use and recommend)

https://quickbooks.intuit.com/ca/desktop/pro/
I work with desktop version but people say online version is also good.
It was 250CAD (one-time) but now they force to pay 30$ monthly...

When all accounting is done in QuickBooks you need:
https://profile.intuit.ca/
This is tax-filing software for personal and several business cases.
You need T2 option, 240 CAD (+tax) per year.
(UFILE has T2 option for 130-150$)

Personal taxes are 75$ per person with Profile --
I do UFILE for 20-25 CAD for whole family:
https://secure.drtax.ca/ufileshop/2016/storespec.asp

If I have no spare time and
no previous exposure to accounting/tax calculation, I would
pay from 1K to 3K to trusted professional and save time
for main work and for family.

Cheers!
