I'd pick TLS, smaller inside but it has more power, HID headlights 5 spd auto & other things..

if you want another cheaper option, look into 02 maximas they're cheeeappp & can go pretty much as loaded as the XLE/type S with plenty of interior room space & just as reliable.

well they are in different markets
one is a luxury sedan, one is an affordable family sedan

if u can get them for the same price, id go for acura TL type S for sure

but mileage is a deciding factor

lol u can mod just about any cars out there...
there are plenty of camry mods too, just no one is interested in modding them
lol

but if u have the budget to mod, then why not get a better car to start with so u dont have to mod so much or dont have to mod at all

Get the Camry and change the oil regulalry (oil sludge build-up).

The TL-S has a self-destructing transmission that Honda hasn't figured out how to fix permanently; although they do offer a 7yr/160km warranty on the tranny.

You should also take a look at the 02/03 Nissan Maxima and Infiniti I35.

i would get TL but i am tall and my head is hitting the roof :(

so it would be Camry for me.

the sludge problem only existed on 1997-2001 models and it was rare. never heard of it in canada until someone pointed to me.

the TL's had the self destructing tranny's that died near the 40k mark like clockwork and even replacement units didn't fare any better.

other than that the TL's were nice cars.

the oil sludge problem only affected those who GROSSLY ignored the maintaince intervals (like 2-3x longer than recommended)

The Maxima is a great suggestion, go for the SE with manual transmission, it's considered a "drivers car".

I reallylike the TL, but the trannies have been a minor headache for Honda, and the Tl is "just a glorified Accord"HA HA

Once again. I have to say..... Ontario Car prices makes me sick!!!

Did a search on Trader.ca...and in Alberta, I would have to pay at least 6-8K more to get a 2002 3.2 TLS...

sic.

with all the screw ups that honda has had with their cars starting from 2000, the TL is one of their best made cars. It definitely fun to drive and if you do purchase it, then make sure you get the Michelin Pilot Alpine PA2 for winter tires. They work amazing on this car!!!!

That's because our cars get eaten by salt in the winter time. If you want even cheaper used car, try Quebec.

I know used cars in BC is considerabily more expensive than Ontario Equivalent.
