Your video card should have some Brightness and Gamma options in the settings.

2005fpw brightness issue
Since so many people reported the monitor being too bright even after setting the brightness to 0, I just want to know how everyone resolved this issue? Or did you just ignored it, lived with it and gotten used to it?

I've noticed my monitor resets its own brightness if I go into a directx full screen game. I don't know if it's my vid card (AIW 9800Pro) or if its the monitor.

It's your video card.

Jul 25th, 2005 02:48 PM #6Total hijack, but you need to get a new sig. That doesn't even make sense, even though it's copied directly from: http://www.truclamvietzen.net/TTTLectTerm.htm

Back on topic - yes, it's your vid cards settings that are changing, not the monitor._______________

Jul 25th, 2005 02:54 PM #7Ya, I realised that as well... not sure what to do about it... but I'd rather have the mouse pointer stay bright instead of the entire screen

Jul 25th, 2005 02:54 PM #8Yeah, that's my case too! The mouse pointer still seems bright after I adjust the settings from the display settings.
