I have driven one for the last 2 years and love it. You must make sure you get the 6 cylinder as it is the honda pilot engine. It is great on gas and has lots of pep. I am thinking of moving up to the relay and a couple of my friends want to buy my vue. I n my eyes a good vehicle.

What are you thoughts on the FWD 4, 4 cylinder version? It has lots 143 hp and 152 torque. Fuel consumption is 10.1/7.1 L per 100 km.

Why would you choose the V6 over the base model? What is the major difference in your eyes?

I think the v6 stands out more as a good value because of you have to pay a lot more than 27K to get any other SUV with that good of a powertrain in it.

What's the point of getting a FWD SUV? Why not just get a car?

The first 2004 I had was the 2.2 with the tranny being built in hungary. thay had to stop production because of problems sluggishness and slipping. My saturn only had 14,000 and one day it would not go in reverse. Took it ot the dealership and of course it did then but there was also a sound under the front left that sounded like ice buildup so they kept it for a week and rebuilt the tranny. i still noticed when i went to pass or go on the 401 it was delayed and was sluggish. I complained and told them i wanted a new one still nothing then my saturn car with 70000km had a head gasket leak and i took it in and asked them what kind of products saturn was making and within 2 weeks an offer was made to give me a new vue but with the 6 cylinder honda engine. so i received a new vue for $2500. as the old vue had 20000km on it. In my eyes that was acceptable and I still drive it to this day.
I am not sure if the 2.2 is perhaps large enough to work the vue but if I were to buy I would stick to the 6 cylinder. I do like the vue and so do a number of my friends. You definitely see a lot of them on the road nowadays.

ya the 6 Cylinder one is the one to get, saturn is slowly turning into regular GM products, they used to be REALLY good. The v6 as mentioned with the Honda V6 is EXCELLENT value. My mom was deciding between that and the Highlander and ultimated took the highlander just because it had more space.

Also if I am not mistaken the i4 engine for the VUE is the i4 GM ecotec engine, which is a decent engine also, but the v6 will be reliable in the long run.

Why buy a 4 banger suv? I really dont' get it. If you care about fuel mileage then a suv is not for you. Stick to a car.

The Vue will be replaced next year by a SUV that will be sold internationally as the Chevy Captiva among other names...

what everyone else is saying, theres no point in buying a 4 Cylinder FWD SUV, either buy a minivan if you need seating capacity or buy a compact/subcompact car if you want better fuel mileage.

more power, more torque, more fuel consumption. should be self-explanatory.

if u have more money to blow on a Saturn, frankly, i think Saturns suck, but thats just me.
