2009 Honda Civic DX-G hot deal?
I got a 09 Civic DX-G for $24,400 on the road after all taxes including rust proof, undercoating and paint protection.
Was this a good deal or did I get ripped off?
I took this deal over a 09 Toyota Corolla S with just rust profing for about the same price ($23,800)

For that same amount you can have an Impreza with a boxer engine and AWD.

Do you have to bring up the Impreza in every thread?
I don't disagree that it's a decent car, but what is the significance of a boxer engine in this thread?

It's more powerful than the Corolla's and Civic's engine. It's one of the most durable engines in the world. It's easy to work on. It produces a nicer sound. It produces less vibration. It's "symmetrical", meaning it is positioned in the center, thus eliminating torque steer.
The new Impreza is seriously underrated, and that is why I post in threads were the OP is considering a similar car. If the OP test drives an Impreza, I'm sure that he'll agree.

Can you really get that big a discount? From what I remember, base price for the cheapest Impreza on the road is over $26k.

i'd have taken the Corolla S anyday over the Civic.
The DX-G trim just screams cheap on the exterior vs the corolla S which has the body kits, spolier and nice allow wheels.

its not hard to add a body kit, and fog lights and etc...
besides the fact of the style and how the car looks...and since I got approx. the same deal..which car would have been the better deal for the price im paying?

Also, was this paid for in cash? If not... then what are the interest rates for the Civic and Corolla?

2009 Civics are on sale in Canada? I checked honda.ca and couldn't find any info on them.

I got invited to a special promotional day yesterday at formula honda..the sale was fore ONLY one day thats why i got this deal...i didnt even have to bargain with the guy.
and yes i did pay $600 for BS basically..but im financing it for 48months at 5.9% so the extra 600 didnt make much of a difference to my monthly payment.
