Apparently. I'm loving mine.
Here's a quick tip for anyone with a UT50, if you haven't already found them on you own here are the settings for it:

Same settings as above but a little more explained on how to set them

To get into the service menu hold the volume down button on the TV and press the info button 3 times on the remote.
That's a quick dirty run down.

i don't think i would agree with that at all. not them being good, them being a secret. if anything i'd say they are the number one recommended tv for anybody not specifically avoiding plasma

I got my Panasonic 50" UT50 delivered from Bestbuy a few days ago. I am happy I didnt spend the extra $300 on the ST for the glare filter cause it's only a minor issue in my setup. Picture qualiity really does look very very good but I'm experiencing vertical bands and buzzing. I made a new thread about it as to not put this one off-topic. Check it out here:

Hey Everybody,
I'm obviously late for the boxing day says but I would appreciate input/opinion. I'm looking for a 42"-47" LCD tv in the 400$-600$ price range. I realized this is lower end on the price scale but if anyone has any suggestions or knows of any deals It would be very helpful!
