If it’s an expensive issue to fix, most/all car manufacturers aren’t willing to eat the cost to fix thousands of out of warranty cars.

I feel your pain. Was looking at an $11.2k replacement cost for my rear diff earlier this year. Finessed the situation by finding one in a scrap yard.

$900 tax in, including labour is what I wound up paying.

Well this is depressing and I don't have a Camry.
Staring down the barrel of a $10k plus repair is the worst feeling in the world.

Well there's no sick fadez left to be copped now that the regimen cannot be admired in all its glory

What? No wise cracks about Toyota and their Lange dart reliability? Where's all the Toyota apologists? Is everyone on summer holidays?

Hi there I have a 2012 Camry Hybrid XLE. Every time I depress the brake pedal i hear a noise, a buzzing noise coming from the engine compartment. There are no codes present or any lights. Just this annoying noise every time I brake. I took it to the dealer (Toyota) and they
quoted me 9480$ for replace brake booster, brake master cylinder etc.

Anyone know anything about this symptom. The car runs fine, but not sure if it will for long?

Thanks.
If it's just noise, u could keep driving. May be crank up the radio volume...

I thought all Toyota's were low maintenance, reliable automobiles.

Looks around...

Go toyota!

But really. Take it to an indy mechanic and find used parts for the repair.

There are people out there with blown up engines and transmission. Used parts and indy mechanic labor is your best bet as mentioned before!

Personally I wouldn't trust a quote for that kind of money scribbled on a piece of paper...

Go to another dealer and get a real quote printed on a work order with detailed a detailed breakdown.

Is it this price because the car is a hybrid. If it was a regular XLE what would the price be..

Just wondering because i think you just talked me out of a hybrid Camry. Some of these repair prices are pretty outrageous

A regular XLE wouldnt have the brake booster etc as these parts are in a hybrid alone.
