2012 GLK350 or RX350
Hi
Anyone know when the next major redesign for the GLK350 or the RX350 due. ? I heard a redesign for the 2013 GLK but not sure if just a face lift or major. I have heard nothing about the RX though. The lease for my current Highlander Hybrid is ending in Aug 12. And since the tires there if driven till Aug need almost for sure new ones by Aug. I am throwing around the idea of terminating earlier. I am now considering these 2 cars as my options as both seems to have good promo. GLK has free 4matic and free 3 payment and promo interest rate while the RX has low lease rate. The other similar sub like the MDX or RDX or X3... Either I knew they have a new design out later in the year or the rate is too high.
Any suggestions?
Tx

OP, you left out the clear winner in that class, the Audi Q5. It also beat the Volvo, X3 and others.

That's interesting, most reviews I have seen have favoured the X3 as the winner of that class. Mind you there will most likely be a few automotive journalists that differ.

However.....if you were only considering the GLK compared to the RX, I would go for the GLK for the 4Matic as the RX is technically a FWD with AWD capability with only 10% torque distribution in extreme conditions.
I think your forgetting something though, even if there is a vehicle with a higher interest rate, and similar monthly payments wouldn't you just get the one suits you and your needs the most? For instance, I would hate to drive around a car I hate with only the satisfaction of a low lease rate to cuddle up to. Additionally, vehicles with lower lease rates tend to have very low residual values. At the end of the day, its the monthly payments that matter, on a lease the rate won't make too much of a difference. The lower the rate, the lower the residual, monthly payment will stay more or less the same._______________

Thanks for the replies. Yes I have consider all cars but right now I am trying to get a balance between my "want" and what I actually will be paying. Like I said Audi , BMW are all nice cars. But they have bad lease rate now. And Mose of these cars have similar residual. I would love the X3,unfortunately I do not like the way BMW ding you on all those options.

Like I said, lease rates are there. There are no good or bad ones. If there is a good rate, there will be something that that will be offsetting it. I think you really should consider going into a dealer, test drive it, work out some numbers and have him explain the difference between high/low residuals vs high/low interest rates

I can see this ending badly for OP, financially. Best is to get carcost or equivalent, test drive and then visit/e-mail various dealers and see who is willing to deal. Going into the dealership with no information on pricing and dealer cost is generally great, but mostly for dealers.

Too common. Get a Unimog.

The GLK & RDX are only mall-rated. You need REAL off-road capability.

The optional 155mm Howitzer also means "Get the fark out of my way" and you mean it.

You can be the King/Queen of the mall with the optional quad. Why carry your own packages when the quad can carry it for you?

There are no apostrophes in plurals! "I have 1000 posts" = correct. "I have 1000 post's" = incorrect!
Could've, would've, should've. It's simple English, people!
