No, I can see that they can't monitor what activities people are actually doing. I can't see any way that would be possible.

Not sure where my comment went so I will put it on again. Although they cannot monitor actual activities they set the program up to favour people who abuse the system. Each day people are allowed to log 10 activities per day that they have done and there are a huge number of people who have maxed out their ballots each & every day of the contest so far. I dont know about you but there is no way that I believe that someone working full time would have time to do 10 of their activities each and every day. a max of 3 activities a day for ballots would have been one that those who are doing it legitimately could reach and limit those who did nothing at all but took the ballots anyway. This is what I conveyed to them. I knew however that they want to be able to say at the end that they made a massive difference in Canadians' activity levels in 2017. Meanwhile we will be just as unfit as we ever were. I find it depressing when a sponsor specifically sets a contest up to encourage cheating which is what they have done.

I don't know if I'd consider it cheating when a sponsor specifically says no proof required that you did any activities. And the rules don't even have to say you have to do the activities, just that you have to track them in the game.

But agreed, if their real intention is to improve the fitness of Canadians, this won't do it. They could have easily asked you to post a video actually doing an activity to qualify, many contests do. But since they don't require any proof at all, I can't blame people for claiming the max entries. It's still just a contest.

Btw, there are many simple activities on the list like leg lift, tag, or shoveling snow. Pretty easy to claim 10 simple tasks a day and actually have done them.
