Anyone here bought from greenleaftire.ca?? Prices are pretty good. I was going to get mine from active green but I may change my mind!

Fine three candidate choices, almost to the point where you could pick based upon price.

The worst part of buying tires this year is that the lower end has become completely filled with PowerTrac and Sailun tires. A few years ago you could grab Toyo or Yokohama winter tires for $450 installed.
$450 excluding steel rims? I got yokohama winter tires on the weekend for $670 installed including steels

I would avoid the Xi3 due to wet coast where you get more than the usual slush and rain. Xi3 has a more closed tread than the others which is not as good for slush and the wet.

I got 15" winter tires with steels through the group buy with simplytire on RFD. It was $741 out the door but Yokohama has $70 rebate. So all in was ~$670

What's the best place (national chain or Winnipeg local) to get some decent but cheap steel rims?

Can't believe I missed that. Was looking it for just the other day and couldn't find the thread.

I got Pirelli Winter Ice Zero FR installed on my RDX.

Jury is still out with how they will perform on snow/ice; however, the ride so far has been superb (cant even tell i am driving on winter tires)

We have similar needs (Vancouver as well) and went with the Michelin Xi3. They're quieter than other winter tires we've used and have performed well in the rain so far.

The group buy discount was $50

So still a decent price without the discount
