That's what I'm hoping for. Ed's MK7 headlights and Helix are available so I'm sure later on they'll be available for the facelift.
If I put HIDs on these, wouldn't there be glare or hot spot issues? I understand some projectors are not the same as OEM ones, especially because there's no levelling function for example.

I typically wouldn't as to not blind other people out on the road. However, I came by these one the MK7 forums (http://www.golfmk7.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25231) and reviews say they work well without intense glare issues. Ideally this would be best paired with a projector to get some sweet sharp horizontal levelling.

My 2018 GTI base DIBM is just done building. Hopefully I can get it within the next month.

Did your dealer contact you to confirm the build?

Dark Iron Blue Metallic - Just spoke with the dealership.. They told me it was just finished building.

I seems like dealership were scared to order Dark Iron Blue since it's a new color so there is not much available (7 in Canada in the order book) That's not much.

Nice! Lovely colour. When did you sign the deal and put the order in? I haven't gotten an update but anticipate some time in November as well.

Like a month ago.. When I did the order there was only 2 on the way (base manual) What did you order?

The only thing I don't like about the base is the 17 rims... I'll keep them for the winter I think and will buy 18 inches for the summer. Most likely will buy the 18 that come with the Autobahn that people will start to sell on Kijiji anytime soon!

I ordered White Silver. The stock wheels aren't too bad but definitely using them for winter only.

For the price people are reselling their OEM wheels, you might have better luck finding lightweight wheels that will give your GTI a unique look.

Any rims brand suggestion? I just don't want to deal with the hassle of "Will it fit"

Depends on your budget.

Main things to look for when buying wheels to fit the Volkswagen are 5x112 bolt pattern, 57.1 center bore and +45 offset. 225/40R18 tire or 235/40R18 for a more square sidewall.

There's a lot of pictures and posts of different wheel setups on Golfmk7.com and vwvortex.com forums.

For 19", I got quoted for $425 per + taxes in a local GTA wheel shop (cheapest I have found to-date) or buy from US online resellers at around $330 US + shipping + duty + FX currency exchange

everyone will have different liking and taste on wheels.

I am currently thinking of getting the 102 for winter setup (relatively easy to clean)
