Shifting mode can be changed but in general if you're coming from a traditional automatic, it takes some time getting used to DSG.

I found your link after I did a little research. Will definitely go test drive it again. Wish the sales knew what he was selling. Haha.

Any chance they will offer the base GTI with full LED headlamps in MY2019? I can wait.

Because it doesn't have the clearance of an SUV/Crossover remember to scrape the snow from the wheel well before it builds up and freezes solid.
Thanks for the heads up! It spends the night indoors so everything melts by the morning. Will remember to check if it stays an extended amount of time outside

How are you liking the manual ? I ordered one but only test drove the auto
I did the same thing... couldn't find a manual to test drive.

I've had mine for 2 years now... LOVE it. definitely no regrets.

So I test a GTI drove today. Had owned a 2007, so pretty familiar. Web site priced a base 2018 GTI at 349 monthly, 20000 km 48 month lease, zero down. As you can't calculate the payment with the 1.5 percent loyalty promo, I asked the sales rep, who confirmed the cost would be 349 plus tax plus 4000 down. So $4000 over MSRP web site pricing. Business must be good for these jokers.

Oh ya Smiling Face With Open Mouth
Anybody find out what the lease payment should be with loyalty discount on a 2018 base GTi? I am looking at a 48 month 20,000 lease...

Question for you mk7.5 GTI base owners. Does the second row have hvac vents coming from the center armrest? Noticed only Highline 5 door and Comfortline+ wagons are the only trims that has it compared to it being standard throughout on the mk7. Not a need but a plus for passengers.

Anyone know where the front parking sensors are for the GTI? Considering getting a front license plate relocator but I'm worried it might interfere with the sensors.

Did you join club wolfsburg yet geokilla? If not you should, a really good group, some people may be even selling a good tow hook for cheap.

Just want to find out if the base GTi comes with halogen or bi-xenon as standard?
Not sure the jump to Autobahn is worth it for the few extras you get over the base. As I do a lot of night driving, the bi-xenon and LED headlights make a huge difference
