I think it would be easier to get someone in Canada for now, they just started getting the 2018s in the US this month i believe. I think it's the first time we get something before the Americans lol

Can anyone dig up any diagrams of how to identify the VAQ differential when under the car?

Did you get yours with DAP? The tow hook plate may interfere with that. There's someone on the CW FB group I think that is 3D printing a re-locator. Personally I was never a fan of off center license plates but that's just my opinion. Look at the Europeans, they never complain
Yes I ordered my GTI with the DAP. I don't mind the centre license plate. I just don't like the idea of drilling holes into the bumper.

Will check with Club Wolfsburg!

Thanks for your input. I have OEM 225/45R17 tire rims from my (soon to be traded in) TDI Wolfs. VW service tire guy confirmed it should fit GTI. Thinking of Continental WinterContact Si or Blizzak WS80.

Picked up the GTi this morning and went straight to Simply Tire to get everything sorted. They tried with spacers to fit the Envy's but in the end, I opted for a different set of rims, which they swapped out for no cost

Glad to hear it worked out. Looks like the earlier MK7 wheels, are they 17”?

Now next thing on the list are tints! Gogogo.

Were you ever able to locate the VAQ? Cant seem to find the answer anywhere online for Canada 2018 GTI's.
No I haven't been able to put it on a lift yet. If anybody is doing their tire change please check if you have it. (see image)
Some canadian reviewers say they have, vw canada and dealerships are confused..

Ok thanks. I posted the same question on this forum: http://www.golfmk7.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38609 and no one seems to know here either.

Can you put your phone (camera) under the car and take a picture or video?
