2020/03/19 - Break It Off - THE ULTIMATE BREAK IT OFF CHALLENGE - CAN - (Age 18-29)

2. ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open to residents of Canada.
The eligibility for each contest stream is as follows:
Break It Off from Smoking: Contestants in the Break It Off from Smoking stream must (i) meet the general eligibility criteria for the contest (ii) be between the ages of 18-29 years old at the time of entry (iii) currently use and/or have used tobacco (defined as: cigarettes, cigars, cigarillos, pipes, chewing tobacco, snuff, water pipes and/or snus collectively, “Tobacco”) at least once in the month prior to contest registration [January 1, 2020].
Stay Smoke-Free: Contestants in the Break It Off from social smoking stream must (i) meet the general eligibility criteria for the contest (ii) be between the ages of 18-29 years old at the time of entry (iii) have previously used tobacco (defined as: cigarettes, cigars, cigarillos, pipes, chewing tobacco, snuff, water pipes and/or snus collectively, “Tobacco”). (iv) have not used “Tobacco” as defined herein, in the month prior to contest registration [January 1, 2020].
Refer and Support a Friend: Contestants in the Refer and Support a Friend stream must (i) meet the general eligibility criteria for the contest (ii) be the age of majority within their respective province/territory (iii) have referred a friend upon registration; said friend must have registered for the Break It Off from Smoking stream or the Stay Smoke-Free stream.

3. HOW TO ENTER: During the Contest Period, contest participants must have completed an official online entry form by February 5, 2020 at 11:59 PM ET. During the challenge period, entrants must follow the contest rules as follows:
Break It Off from Smoking Entry: Not use commercial tobacco and remain tobacco-free (tobacco-free is defined as no use of any commercial tobacco products such as: cigarettes, cigarillos, cigars, pipes, chewing tobacco, snuff, and/or snus) for 6-weeks during the entire challenge period. Quitting aids such as nicotine replacement therapy (patch, gum) and/or prescription medications are allowed.
Stay Smoke-Free Entry: Not use commercial tobacco and remain tobacco-free (tobacco-free is defined as no use of any commercial tobacco products such as: cigarettes, cigarillos, cigars, pipes, chewing tobacco, snuff, and/or snus) for 6 -weeks during the entire challenge period.
Refer a Friend Entry: Must have sent a friend the contest link to refer them to the challenge.

There is a limit of one (1) Entry per person, per contest stream, regardless of the method of entry. If it is discovered by the Sponsor (using any evidence or other information made available to or otherwise discovered by the Sponsor) that any person has attempted to: (i) obtain more than one (1) Entry per stream; and/or (ii) use multiple names, identities, email addresses, and/or any automated, macro, script, robotic or other system(s) or program(s) and/or any other means not in keeping with the Sponsor’s interpretation of the letter and/or spirit of these Rules to enter or otherwise participate in or to disrupt this Contest; then he/she may be disqualified from the Contest in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor. Your Entry may be rejected if (in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor) the Entry Form is not fully completed with all required information and submitted and received in accordance with these Rules during the Contest Period. The Contest Parties and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) are not responsible for, and accept no liability whatsoever in relation to, any late, lost, misdirected, delayed or incomplete Entries (all of which are void 4. WINNER SELECTION: On March 20, 2020 at 1:00 PM ET, a random draw for Prize will take place in Toronto, Ontario from among all eligible Entries received in accordance with these Rules. The Sponsor’s designated representative will make one (1) attempt to contact the potential Prize winner by the email address and direct message attached to the SNS account within three (3) business days of the applicable Draw Date. If a potential Prize winner has not been contacted and/or made contact with the Sponsor’s designated representative within 48 hours of the first attempted contact, or there is a return of any notification as undeliverable; then he/she will be disqualified and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to randomly select an alternate potential Prize winner from among the remaining eligible Entries received during the Contest Period (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such new potential Prize winner). 5. PRIZE WINNER VERIFICATION AND CONFIRMATION: All Entries and Entrants are subject to verification at any time and for any reason. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor – including, without limitation, government issued photo identification): (i) for the purposes of verifying an individual’s eligibility to participate in this Contest; (ii) for the purposes of verifying the eligibility and/or legitimacy of any Entry or other information entered (or purportedly entered) for the purposes of this Contest; and/or (iii) for any other reason the Sponsor deems necessary, in its sole and absolute discretion, for the purposes of administering this Contest in accordance with these Official Rules. Failure to provide such proof to the complete satisfaction of the Sponsor within the timeline specified by the Sponsor may result in disqualification in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor.
Before being declared a confirmed Prize winner, the potential Prize winner will be required to:
correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without mechanical or other aid to be administered by telephone at a mutually convenient time; and
sign and return within five (5) business days of notification, the Sponsor’s declaration and release form, which (among other things):
confirms compliance with these Official Rules;
acknowledges acceptance of the applicable Prize as awarded;
releases the Sponsor and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability in connection with this Contest, his/her participation therein and/or the awarding and use/misuse of the applicable Prize or any portion thereof;
agrees to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of his/her name, address, voice, statements about the Contest and/or photograph (including photographs taken at the applicable prize presentation event, if applicable) or other likeness without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor in any manner whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the internet. In addition, each confirmed Prize winner may choose to participate in optional media interviews.
If a selected Entrant:
fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question;
fails to return the executed declaration and release form within the specified time; or
cannot accept the applicable Prize for any reason;
then such potential Prize winner will be disqualified (and, if disqualified, will forfeit all rights to the applicable Prize) and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to randomly select an alternate potential Prize winner from among the remaining applicable eligible Entries (in which case the foregoing provisions of this Section 5 shall apply to such new potential Prize winner). 6. PRIZES: There is one (1) prize available to be won in relation to the Break It Off from Smoking Entries (the “Break It off from Smoking Prize”). The Break It Off from Smoking Prize consists of $1,000 CAD (payable in the form of a cheque). The Prize must be accepted as awarded. There is one (1) prize available to be won in relation to the Stay Smoke-Free Entries (the “Stay Smoke-Free Prize”). The Stay Smoke-Free Prize consists of $500 CAD (payable in the form of a cheque). The Prize must be accepted as awarded. There is one (1) prize available to be won in relation to the Refer and Support a Friend Entries (the “Refer a Friend Prize”). The Refer a Friend Prize consists of $250 CAD (payable in the form of a cheque). The Prize must be accepted as awarded.
