You ain't going to find out anything by asking on here. Start calling insurance companies and getting quotes. Ask for a ref # for when you call back.

I would recommend Dan Lawrie - Google them. I have been with them for 9 years and I always get a great rate... initially I got a discount because of where I worked... but they continued to give me the discount when I moved jobs.... I always shop around for cheaper insurance but have yet to get a better deal. And no...I don't get a commission!... just get a quote and see... you always get real people and their accident help is superb... the only concern was that I was OK rather than whos fault it was (although it wasn't mine ).

if your gf's parents already have auto insurance it will usually be cheaper with their company than any other since they usually give a discount for having more than 1 car insured.

like what others have said, you gotta call around and get quotes, it's a time consuming process but can save you lots in the future.

TD gave me a cheaper rate which i thought they woulda given to my friend who was just 1 year younger, but they charged him $100/mth more. So you gotta call around.
