the one on bathurst south of wilson is open 24/7 you can get change from their machines. it's on the left heading south right by the 7/11 and costs about $5 to wash if you are quick. your location says yonge/sheppard so not very far

No, I actually didn't know that.
btw, has anyone used this location? How does it work? How much does it cost?
What if I want to take my own supplies (shampoo etc) and just want to use their water hose (and shade)?

I use this place for a quick hose down a.k.a quick wash.
For every $1 you get 1min20secs (i find the timer runs a bit quicker if you clock it though with a stopwatch). You also lose first 10secs before the water comes outta the hose and another 5secs or so for the soapy solution to appear. You get 20% off when you buy their tokens from their machine.
To start the wash, you have to insert min $2 and there after keep topping it up for a min of $1 before the time is up.
After inserting the tokens/coins, there's a list of selection to choose from, ranging from pre-soak wash, high pressured hot wash, rinse, final rinse, clear wax and even hot air blow. You can switch to any selection anytime during the process as long you got time/credit left.
3 piece of equipment present on site:
- A water powered tire-cleaner brush
- A spray gun which is used for soap, pre-soak and rinse
- Portable hot air Blower
You can bring your own supplies and use it. It will take a couple of tries before you can tweak your wash routine to gain the max outta the $$$. When I did the complete wash, it cost me about $11-$13 without blow-dry. For that amount, i can get the usual car wash at the gas station. But I think i could bring the cost down if i tweaked the wash routine abit. I would say about $6-$12 for a decent wash.
I live in a neighbourhood where lots dump trucks pass by and create a mess. I have to wash every 2 days to keep the car clean. Hence, the quick and dirty wash, which cost me about $3. $1.5 for wash with soap and the remaining for rinse. No tire cleaning or air-dry. I do that at my place.
