i find that these courses, e.g. Lynda, are not bad for getting your feet wet. You can watch a video at 2x speed, or faster, get a quick grasp of the info and find out if you want to delve further into it.

other than that, I think a lot of people feel they are going to watch these courses, put it on their resume or something and go get a $500,000 a year job.

Always wanted to learn how to code in Python and C.

I have never seen a thread anywhere for free courses, just the 90% off stuff. So this is a great way to try out stuff.

Thank you OP!

Thanks! Enrolled in dozens of courses! Though by the time I finally finish them all they may just have chips I can put in my brain.

Go to page 4 of this thread. Someone was kind enough to put it in code format.

Most of these courses are crap, which is why they are free. E.g virtually no point in studying Swift 2 over Swift 3 or Swift 4. The only good course would be Mark Price web development course which I believe is already used up. People stop being cheap and just pay $15 for an updated course, it'll go a long way than finding out halfway that the course your taking is awful either because of outdated content or instructor accent. Some courses are worth way more than that and are pretty good for acquiring some skills.

Thank you very much Op for all of those great links.

I always like learning new stuff especially if it's free to do so.

Can someone suggest some courses to sign up for free. I am a University graduate in political science and would like some courses that may help me land a government or office job. I also have interest in learning other things that may help.
