$35 Koodo plan any good?

I'm currently with Virgin and have 2 lines.
line 1 - $27 - 200 minutes, no data, eve/wks after 7, unlimited text.
line 2 - $27 - 100 minutes, no data, eve/wks after 5, unlimited text.

Koodo looks attractive;

Koodo $35
- Unlimited Canada-wide anytime minutes
- 500 MB of Shock-Free™ data
- Unlimited messaging (text & picture)

promo ends tomorrow...

It is much better than your present Virgin plans, you are getting unlimited Canada-wide talk time and 500MB data.

i called virgin to see if they can match or beat it. The first customer rep basically said no, and there was no one i can talk to. I then ask to speak with the customer solutions department, she hesitantly put me through. From there customer solutions couldn't even come close. The offered a $42 plan, unlimited minutes with 500 Mb...I've been with virgin for over 5 yrs, so much for loyalty these day.

Looks like it is just for new customers. I logged into my account that plan is $40

I don't want to call, because they charge $10 per call

Says for Quebec residents only, but hey, if you can get a MB or SK plan in ON, why not QC?

Didn't say that I would, nor that you should, just that you could ;)
But it IS $13 cheaper

I think the $13 easily justifies the 5 Gigs of data and unlimited calling

the deal expired yesterday, but now it's showing limited time offer.

is there a catch here ?? I've never been with koodo, so I want to make sure there aren't any surprises

No catch and you can port out at any time without penalty if you don't get a new phone on a tab. Koodo/Telus shares towers with Bell/Virgin in many regions, too.

No catch, this is basically Koodo's method of extending the promo.

Personally, I would go with the $40 plan
