From my experiance with Bestbuy they would only match the price of competitors in their sales region whatever that's supposed to mean.

$39.99 Kingston 512 mb Secure Digital after PM NCIX with Bestbuy
Kind of late but I wanted to make sure it worked before I posted it.
NCIX Kingston 512mb SD card on sale $49.99
Ncix link to card
Bestbuy Kingston 512 mb SD card onsale for 69.99 - $20 mail in Rebate.
Bestbuy link to card with link to rebate form
The computer department guys said something about NCIX only selling OEM etc and so they don't price match with them. I thought / think that is just so I asked customer service if they have a list of who they do and don't price match with. They said no such list so I showed them my printed out screen shot of NCIX. They set up an account and logged in and said that they would match it with shipping of $10. I said fine.
So came out to $58.99 plus tax and then I still have the $20 MIR to send in.
Totalling 38.99 plus taxes. Mine came to $67.25 - $20 = $47.25 tax in and no shipping.
NCIX sale ends today. NCIX reg price $60 and Bestbuy regular $90.

Walmart sells the 1GB Lexar SD card for $114.63. Not cheap, but not expensive compared to Futureshop or Staples (actually they don't sell 1GB Lexar cards).
I had enough of waiting (since I missed out on the pre-Christmas sale for $100 1GB Lexar SD card) and got it at Walmart. Sure, no rebates or anything, but then I don't have to send off a rebate form and wait months for the cheque back. If you can PM Futureshop for the card, you can get it a bit cheaper.
The card's not bad. Way faster than the crappy Sandisk Ultra II 512MB SD card. I'll never get a Sandisk card again.Last edited by maceyr; Feb 22nd, 2005 at 05:27 PM.
