4 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ Tires from Canadian Tire

Hi guys,

I just purchased 4 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ Tires from Canadian Tire (CT) for $618.29 (tax included) for my 2011 Corolla S. Was originally going to purchase and get them installed at Costco but prices for the tires were cheaper at CT. Is there anything I need to check for when I pick up my tires from the store? Also I was planning on taking the tires to my mechanic shop and getting them installed instead of CT. Any thoughts?

Thanks

What is considered a bad date code? Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question!

I suppose 1-2 years isn't that bad but fresher the better of course.

From the last 4 digits, the first two are the manufacturing week and the last two are the year.
EG: 1217 would be 12th week of 2017 etc

It's only a 2 year old tire so it should be ok.

Some CT stores balance & mount tires free purchased there, other CT franchises charge for balancing. Might be worth it either way to have the tire warranty. Keep an eye on the install, be sure they don't put the lug nuts on with an impact gun set to 140psi and your good.
