They're getting your money anyways so why not get full price?
This is clearly an acquisition campaign for attracting non users into becoming regular users.
if that's the case... they're not doing a very good job... I would consider myself a non user...

Anyone remember when the 407 used to be 3/7/10 cents a KM depending on time of day. 3 cents was night time, 7 was daytime and weekends while 10 cents was rush hours. Transponder fee was cheap too. I haven’t taken it in 15 years and don’t miss it one bit.

Once you get and accept this offer, you likely will never get another offer. They will keep randomly sending different ones, until you accept.

I received one offer a long time ago. Didn't accept it and haven't seen another offer since.

I take the transponder to my friend's car (when I am not driving) or rental car and driven on 407, no issue.

Only took it for 10 trips last month.
10 trips is quite a lot for someone who avoids it as much as possible.
i used to take it once a month at most. Now i don't prolly go on it once every 2-3 months.

No. 407ETR has agreements with the transportation ministries from all the other provinces and territories and have access to their license plate databases. Same thing with most or all of the State DOTs.

In the earlier days for the first couple of years, people with US plates could drive the 407 for free but they've recified that.

$35 to use an expressway for 2 hours just for a month...plain highway robbery.

??

It's unlimited travel for two months for $34.99 a month so $70 + tax for unlimited 407 travel for 2 months. That's would be an amazing deal for me since I rack up ~$300 a month on the 407 and I'm a relatively "light" user.

Here’s a tip to get free KMs from the 407, they only bill you based on a fixed distance between entry and exit points. So if you make continual lane changes in a zig-zag pattern during your trip you can easily add a couple free KMs to your trip that you won’t be billed for. You’re welcome.

i get off work at 4:30 and it takes me 1.5 to get home on the 401... so, if they had offered me, I would take the offer. I think it's worth the $35 and not the 50¢/km rate... so, I avoid using the 407...

I wonder what the statistic is for usage with the higher rate.
