It doesn't show the model # on the site but based on the number of HDMI ports I would say that it is the L42B1180.
A quick check shows that Amazon.com has it for $599 http://www.amazon.com/Haier-L42B1180.../dp/B004UK75WW
I could find any Canadaian sites that had it for sale.

Haier TV
I have seen Haier TV's in a number of hotels in the US. I assume if hotels use them they must be realiable and stand up to hard usage.

Quick google shows nothing but annoyed customers, terrible contrast, one guy tried to get it repaired and just got the run around. Don't buy this tv.
I remember Haier fridges at Futureshop, my friend bought one...it would FREEZE HIS FOOD even on the "warmest" setting. He also got the run around to fix it, he sold the thing to get rid of it for $100 (paid $300 from FS).
Haier = Garbage brand

I would not assume that at all. It is probably a combination of a very good bulk price outfitting being offered to whatever chain installed/purchased them, along with a generous replacement/servicing policy for a length of time better than the competition could offer. It all comes down to marketing - a hotel chain wouldn't know panel/electronics/reliability quality if it bludgeoned them in the face - they just want the best price for something that 'works', and gives the impression of 'nice.' By that token, RCA had much of the hotel industry supply contracting for quite some time - their brand had always been dubious, and in the last decade, has turned to attrocious product quality and reliability. (I used to work very closely to their service folks, and I assure you, a bigger mess of overall product quality could not be imagined.)

LCD HDTV's are going to be more popular once the antenna signals going digital later this summer. All of the people on legacy analog antenna are going to have to upgrade because it doesn't make sense to buy digital to analog converters when you could buy a TV for not that much more.
I have a Haier fridge in the basement...no problems and don't be fooled by the label on the TV, there are only a small handful of LCD panel makers they're all the same._______________

Yes Walmart.ca's beta site is getting better and better as they add more sections. The shipping is very affordable too. An LG 50" plasma cost like $15 to ship. On BB/FS it's like $55 to ship a TV that size.

I went in to the Brick store in Mississauga and they did not have any Haier TV's. The salesman does not remember carrying any and certaintly never at that price

I purchased a 19" Haier TV for $99 during boxing day but now it's going to be turned into a secondary monitor because of no digital tuner. Haier warranty like someone said is a PITA. I had to deal with them a few times for a few of our clients and it was quite frustrating. They had stupid rules like cutting the plug and mailing it in and they'll send you another TV.
I don't know who does the warranty work for a 42" TV and doubt many people will and will probably be slow in getting parts to repair it._______________
