It is coming though. Even though this should still outperform it by a wide margin, if it was me, I would wait until the benchmarks come out. However, this is not in my price range either way. I paid $450 for my now worthless 7800GT about a little more than 1.5 years ago and I siad never again!
8800GT should be more in my pricerange. But if you can afford this, I say go for it!

really I would wait for the 8800 gt. it will not be as good a card but its newer and priced right so it should drop prices on the 8800 gtx. at least on the used market. already you are starting to see them around $420 used so I imagine it wont be too much longer until they hit that 350ish price where they become very attractive.
