4MyRebate Question

I made some purchases at NCIX and had some rebates from OCZ, Asus and Gigabyte through 4myrebate.com

I sent in my documentation and claims were approved by end of November but I have yet to receive anything.

How long are you supposed to wait after it being approved?

Also, more importantly, I cannot find any email or phone number I can contact. Any ideas?

They are famous for screwing around.

Best of luck getting *anything* from them. States attorney generals are suing them, so they tend to change locations.

If you got approved, count yourself as lucky. They tend to deny a goodly amount of valid submissions just to see who comes back to argue. Then they'll make you resubmit and keep your money for another six months.

If and when you do get your money it will be 4 to 12 months delayed.

And the newest scam is they give your personal info to a credit card company who sends you a prepaid card. But beware, it's utterly easy for you to incur unexpected charges on that card. And if you don't use it quickly, they take your money through inactivity fees. Even when you use up the card, it stays live, leaving you open to who knows what kind of fees and charges.

My advice, avoid these mail in rebates and boycott the companies and retailers who do them.

IIRC on my OCZ rebate for it mentioned 6-8 weeks for the rebate to be shipped. I think they wait until the very last week until they ship it. They're probably making people feel like they should pay the $2 for the 'expediated' shipping. Here's an example of stuff I bought back in Sept.
