You must have got lucky?
Are there other Cineplex Entertainment Coupons, Vouchers or programming that are not valid towards the TELUS ½ Price Movie Combo?
Additional Cineplex Entertainment coupons, vouchers or programming that are not valid for the TELUS Tuesday offer include , but are not limited to:
* Cineplex Night Out
* Be Our Guest Passes
* Courtesy Tickets
* 2 for 1 admission coupons
* WWE Events
* Opera, Musicals and Concerts
* Premiere and VIP Cards
Is there a discounted admission price for 3D, IMAX and VIP performances on TELUS Tuesdays?
The discounted General admission price on Tuesday's will apply against the standard general ticket purchase. The premium for 3D, IMAX, D-Box and VIP Performances will still be charged at the full rate.

I don't know if this is off topic or not, but....
I wanted to go to see Avatar. I could have gone Monday, but decided to wait until Tuesday just to see if there was any "Discount Tuesday" specials.
When I went on Tuesday to the Colossus in Woodbridge, the price was $14.12 which certainly didn't seem like a discounted price! But the ticket seller gave me a concession slip along with my movie ticket and credit card receipt. I figured that I had to get my 3 D glasses at the concession stand. I was pleasantly surprised when I was told that the price included a regular popcorn and a regular drink - both of which seemed to be "Avatar" sized. Nobody had asked if I wanted the Telus Combo so I don't know if I could have declined it. But, I was happy to get it. The only problem was that the size of the drink made it "difficult" to endure the length of the James Cameron movie!

Alot of people didnt know about this?
Almost all theatres have halfprice tuesday, as well as half priced food combos. It was never called Telus Tuesdays, as far as I know. It has been around for years, even when cineplex and famous players were two different things.
All or most famous players have halfprice tuesdays, and so do some cineplex theatres.

^ Fairview never had it. Anyways, I'm so glad that they do now, I don't have to go all the way to STC.

I bought the tickets from the machine at the Fairview mall (can't come up with a better name) and had the choice between tickets at $8.75 or for something like $14 for the Telus special which included the popcorn and drink.

Wow... I didn't know there were still cheap Tuesdays around anywhere. I think I will definitely be seeing a few more movies now, with Fairview being only a couple of subway stops away for me and the gf. The gf does complain we don't go on enough dates... Thanks for a remedy OP!
