I think you should see doctor. You may have eye problem not related to Lasik at all.

5 years after Lasik - BLurry vision?
I had lasik eye surgery done over 5 years ago by Bochner Eye Institute in T.O.
I am 33 years old and for the past 5 years I have always been amazed how crisp and clear my vision has been. Before the surgery my prescription was -10.5 and -11....so quite bad!! I had 20/20 all these years and suddenly a few weeks ago I noticed that day time vision was quite bad, hard to read road signs but even during the day I was having a hard time seeing around the plant/office etc....
Standing in an drug store the other day I tried on some of those "standard" glasses that the weakest was +1.0 and well, it made my vision look worse, like it was way too strong...so I am not talking a big change...just a noticeable blurring?
I am not so sure that it is the result of the surgery since the last 5 years have almost been perfect and this change seemed quite sudden. Anyone have any advice, vitamins, holistic ideas that may help eye growth. I have been under an extreme amount of stress the past 6 months due to personal reasons, and I even wonder if that may have something to do with it. I am quite big into the gym and bodybuilding and try a variety of supplements. regularly on creatine, glutamine, multi-vitamins and thermogens....
Just looking for any advice...
Thanks.

there are many cases of nearsight or far sight coming back, at a faster rate after surgery, you should get your eyes tested again

Happened to my neighbor after about 3 years, he went back to the place he did it and they redid his eye. Doctor told him some laser eye surgery doesn't always work perfectly.

I had it done about 7 years ago and I notice some days my eyes are blurry as well but that's usually related to lack of sleep or just being tired. Never had that issue before. However, my vision has regressed a bit to -0.25.

Oct 23rd, 2005 07:47 PM #11Well I did call Bochner on Thursday and they have yet to call me back, I will get an appointment I am sure in a few weeks and drive from Cambridge to T.O. to do that....however in the mean time, while waiting, thought I would ask all the friendly eye doctors on RFD...(at least no one has told me to try poking them yet...lol)

do you pronounce Bochner like "botch" (sounds like botched-her) or is it more like "bok" (sounds like bok-ner?)

Oct 23rd, 2005 09:02 PM #13I heard you should wait until you're at least 25 years old to get this done...I want to get it done, but I'm going to wait a few more years first.
