50 Albums for $5 each @ Amazon.com
Amazon.com has 50 albums available for $5.00 (download only). It says its for May only but is still showing up as available for me and its June 1 EST now.
Some albums available are...
- Number 1's by Marvin Gaye
- We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes by Death Cab For Cutie
- 808s & Heartbreak by Kanye West
- American Beauty by Grateful Dead
- At Last! by Etta James
- Big Ones by Aerosmith
Good luck!

That list is all over the place.
Brand new Canadian indie rock beside Mozart beside decades old American folk and country singer right beside Sex and the City OST.
Interesting, anyway.

Nuts, I thought it was CDs. I'd pay money for lossless downloads, but not for MP3s.

Amazon MP3 downloads are only for US residents.
I can confirm this because I tried it and it told me so very clearly.
I even have an account for when I buy US only stuff with a P.O. box in the US and it still won't let me buy.
Haven't tried with US proxy, maybe that would work if they find your location based on your IP address.

I tried it with a proxy. I'm pretty sure you need a credit card with a US billing address.

I've been using this service from Canada for some time now.
1. I login to the Amazon US website (without proxy) and purchase a Gift Card and the code is emailed to me. The reason I use a gift card is that I don't want to give my credit card # over the proxy.
2. I use a proxy service like Evade Filters and goto the Amazon US website and download without problems.
Enjoy!
