I did this last year at HD and it worked well. Not only were the LED lights half the regular price, but HD's regular price was lower than Canadian Tire's. And I have to say, I'm happy with the lights - the technology has improved a lot in the last couple of years - they don't seem dim like the old LED lights. Of course, since they were half price I bought twice as many.

Anyone know if it's merely a regular string of LED lights, or if it also includes the netting type configuration of LED lights (or icicle lights, etc).
Not sure if I have any incandescent lights. Might have to make a trip to Value Village.
Does any set of incandescent work?_______________

yea that sounds about right.
I think for these kind of events its usually during the program duration that you can use the coupons.
I too was thinking of keeping the coupons and maybe using them when teh LED light sets were "even cheaper".... then use the 50% off coupon hahah

I heard about this on the radio therefore thanks for starting this thread. I presently have two sets of 50 Noma 7 watt bulbs in a row, with this set match the brightness of the 7 watt noma's and doesn't anyone know whether 3 sets below at 105 LED bulbs match the length and brightness of the 100 bulb 7 watt noma's that I presently want to replace? I already answered my question in that it won't since the 50 noma bulbs stretch out about 50 ft and the 35 LED bulbs stretch out 35 ft. therefore It would be slightly shorter. I also wouldn't see the 80% electricity savings as they claim since you need more LED's to stretch out to the same length incandescent. Does that sound right?
What's the difference between C7 and C9 LED's?

Program Details
To answer all of your questions. C9 lights are the typical large size outdoor lights that most people have on their houses. C7s are a bit smaller, and the only difference is really the size. Last year icicle lights were also discounted, but the selection was very limited so I advise you to go early.
The promotion is nationwide with some electric companies giving additional discounts. The coupon can only be used the weekend of the 7 & 8th of November and I recommend using it right away because last year we sold out in every store. I am told we have more stock this year than previous years but I wouldn't chance it. If you bring in one string of lights you get one coupon that is good for 50% five new strands of lights. There is no limit to the number of coupons so it's a good chance to replace all of your lights. Only incandescent light strings are accepted so if you have LED strings don't bring them. Lights do not have to be working. I hope this answers any questions you have.

I'd like to get a few sets of LED lights, but don't typically like the look of them. Which set looks like the 'regular' lights and not that bright white LED. Looking for a regular string of outdoor lights, non icicle, with that warm light. Didn't see any on the HD site.
