Hi I have been seeing those kijiji ads to pay ppl to get the $48 5gb plan and then came across this forum . I saw that now it is saying that kodoo has closed the loophole ? I'm from Toronto and wanted to go and to kodoo and try to switch but is it pointless now? I am with virgin 2gb unlimited Canada wide calling for $50 .
Looking to get more data for around the same price . What do u guys recommend ?
Cry... because Public Mobile ended their $38 4 GB plan yesterday. Not Canada-wide calling, but they had 400 minute long distance packages for $15. That works for some people including myself, since the minutes rollover until used up. (400 minutes long distance would last me many moons, maybe even a year.)

Fido wouldn't give me their 4 GB plan in Toronto, and I didn't try calling Virgin (since their's is also supposed to be for BC/AB only).

Based on the howardforum, you can still get it.
But its YMMV 'cause you'd have to call CS & have it change it for you.
Mind you only person report it worked, so who knows you might get lucky.

no point trying Koodo MB plan since loop hole is closed.

Signed up in Bc for a fido plan. Came home to change the number to a mb or Saskatchewan number. Won't let me. Keeps saying error. Tried to change to a different Bc number and it worked. so the function is working. Loophole seems to be closed. Might have to call in maybe ? Any ideas?

The Fido plan never let you use a non MB/SK number with their MB/SK plans.

I signed up with a Bc number. I should be able to switch it to mb Or Saskatchewan through the self serve, and then change the plan to the 48 one. And then port my number over. But it's not letting me change to a mb number

Really? I thought that's how it's supposed to be done. Go locally and sign up to a fido plan with a local number. Then hop online and change the number to a mb sk number. Then change plan to mb plan. Then port over. Ugh

LMAO you should have done some more reading because this plan is only for Koodo. Fido doesn't have a $48 plan so I'm not sure where you got that from........

I've done lots of reading. Lol. Fido does have the 48 plan. 6 gig unlimited canada wide. And someone in this thread a few pages back did it for fido that exact same way I mentioned. That's why I'm trying it that way but no luck. Oh well. I'll figure it out and post back

Really? Let us know how it goes because EVERYTHING I've read says Rogers/Fido WILL audit your account, guaranteed, no questions asked.

Fido closed that loophole years ago.
