Depends what you mean by best. BFG & eVGA for example have lifetime warranties IIRC. MSI has the best bundle and quietest cooling solution. Some of the cards come with an HDTV component-out cable, some are Dual DVI (others VGA/DVI). Also they might be clocked differently so some will have better out-of-the-box performance.

prolly all the same.
pick one that you think looks good.
fits the aftermarket vga cooler u have in mind
and fits ur comp setup etc
i went w/ bfg. lifetime support. I emailed them and got reply in 26mins.

Yeah, I'm kinda heading toward the BFG because of their warranty and support.
Performance wise, is there a big difference?
I heard some people say that the card by MSI isn't truely a 6600GT. Some say Asus underclock their cards. Some say XFX outperform other ones by 5-10fps in some games.
It's really hard to decide what is what.

I thought Leadtek was the most quiet/cool performance wise of the bunch? And only Gigabyte makes fanless (ie. passive) cooling ones at stock without any third party add-on.
I can confirm the MSI PCI-E 6600GT works fine with Aerocool VM-101 if you can find it in Canada (better than Zalman ones, not as good as new VM-102 copper one). I have this right now, and was worried this passive cooling solution wouldn't work from what i read. But i'm using it now and my video card temps are fine (43/44C idle, 68/59C load running rthdribl v1.2). I think it's even better than Gigabyte fanless ones which run hotter.

I have a vendetta against MSI. Take that however you like.

Leadtek is supposed to be the quietest, but my 6600GT Extreme has been sitting in a repair centre in California for about a week; I've sent two emails to them & they haven't yet replied. It's a terrific card, but customer support's not so great, and the fact that it was defective was definitely a bad thing (had it for only a couple of weeks).

I call bull*****
Leadtek is supposed to be the quietes
Again I call bull*****
The gigabyte card has passive cooling and makes zero noise so unless one of the other cards has a white noise generator on it specifically tuned to cancel other noise in your computer, it can't be more quiet. I have the 6800 passive and I love it.

I have an XFX 6600GT.. I've never tried or used any of the other ones, but I am completely happy with this card.. and that's after switching from being an ATI only guy.

Wow. So you're saying that the quietest 6600GT is a Gigabyte 6800 passive? That's just... wow.

The BFG 6600GT OC is currently on a $20 MIR!
So even more savings to you
Unfortunately I had purchased mine about two weeks ago when there was no rebate, oh well, card runs at 550/1.1 alright. Ram doesn't seem to go much higher, (maybe to 1.13 but the core can do 580!)
