Next to impossiable to find now... Back in the day their were a number of different vans that came as 8 pass (Ventures, Montana's, Sienna's, etc)
Now only one with that option is the Sienna. Most car rental companies
don't carry them because their way over priced for a minivan.
Check into a full size SUV.. Like a Suburban, or Aspin. They have
the 8 pass. option.

There's also 15 passenger full size vans for rent, but they are pricey $1300/week:

I thought the special license was for commercial vehicles being operated as buses?
http://www.abfirst.com/mvlicensing.htm
The holder of a Class 5 operator’s license shall not operate:...a motor vehicle with a seating capacity of more than 15 while that vehicle is transporting any person other than the driver....
Edit - BTW, OP. You also should look at lugguage capacity. A 8 passenger van isn't going to carry luggage for 8 people at the same time, unless it's just carry on bags sizedLast edited by l69norm; Jul 2nd, 2009 at 09:25 AM.

I think some rental company offers 12 seater van which can be driven with your G license or what ever license you have there to operate a small passenger vehicle.

Look around for a GMC Safari, or a Chevrolet Astro.
A little bigger then a minivan._______________

Thanks for all your inputs. I think I need to stick with the 7 pass van. I have reserved one at Avis for ~$540 + $68 tax for 11 days (with only 200km/day though). Wish to get one with unlimited milage since we are driving to Vancouver at the end of July. With that, we need to pay extra ~1000km (estimate, for both ways + some in city milage) for $0.20/km
!
