I loved the Consumers Distributing mag for all the video games, but they use to be out of stock worse then Staples.
I still remember filling out the card and they saying they were out of the game I wanted. Then I went to my second and third picks and they didnt have them either.
Not a surprise Consumers Distributing is gone.

oh man.. consumers.. that brings back memories as a young kid...
there was a consumers right near me growing up (at mccowan and hwy 7... i believe its where some greek restaurant is now or something...right beside harveys)...
anyway, it was great, always use to get board games or video games or something from it...
whats even funnier is that we still have a sandwich maker that we got from there that i still use to make grilled cheese instead of using the stove
time flies tho... when i think back now, i thought that consumers was gone WAAY before i started highschool in 1998, but it turns out that it was only gone 2-3 years before that ;/
i remember i went to a lee valley to get something for my brother like 3 years ago.. and man, it felt exactly like consumers when i was in there.. same procedures and layout and everything!

Man that store SUCKED. Definitely a different era of retail. Worst service ever, literally had people lined up waiting forever to buy something. Virtually no chance of getting anything dealt with in terms of warranties after the fact. Complete garbage. Straight out of the Crappy Tire era that is.
