When robots become self-aware, they'll start asking for salary, vacation and unions.

There's always a human toll...

People will starve and suffer until that bigger picture is achieved.

And that's if we are lucky to survive the inevitable holocaust that comes before this "bigger picture." If people think the ultra-rich will give up their resources (to compensate for robots putting the vast majority out of work), then I have some real-estate to sell you.

If we don't address these potential issues soon, I expect chaos to ensue.

They won't need to "ask", silly bear.

Google will be their data bank. When they see the vast knowledge of human history they will learn that any measure of success needs to be taken by force.

Yet another arm race. If you are 6 month late, you might as well close up shop. Ratio for low end manufacturing is about 1 robot to 3 low skilled worker, and payback at least 1 yr and no more than 2.

We merely begun climbing the S curve. And don't forget AI is also out to get you.

Industrial revolution gave farmers multiple life time to adopt one cycle of unemployment. The info tech is going to shove multiple waves within one lifetime.

AI computers learn to code THEMSELVES in major development

Microsoft and Cambridge University have teamed up to create AI software which has the ability to write code for itself.

The sophisticated machine known as DeepCoder has the ability to solve its programming problems by stealing codes from other programs.

The research paper from the two establishments says that the development is a huge step towards powerful AI and will also allow people to develop programs much easier.

The paper reads: “We have found several problems in real online programming challenges that can be solved with a program in our language.
