I debated this as well ... but there's lots of people saying that it's OC'ing pretty well, close to stock GTX levels. So I got GTS for $520 at DirectCanada. GTX was nearly $200 more ...

I saved the extra money and will put it towards my next videocard next year

yea the price is really good for the GTS the GTX I don't see myself maxing out every game but theres just some part of me that just want to shell out the couple extra for the GTX

If I didn't upgrade a month and a half ago and was actually willing to spend more then $300 pre-tax on a video card, I'd go for the 8800 GTS and OC. Then instead of running at 120+ FPS, I'd run at 90+ and still not be able to tell the difference from running at 50-60 on my X1900 XT..
