So you agree that there really are scuffs on the TV. Would you pay full price for a "new" TV that has "minor scuffs" that "you can't really see them unless you look for them"? Me neither.

Call to another 2001 audio video, some of them are dicks/pricks.illbashu wrote: ↑Jan 3rd, 2013 5:36 pmThat isn't the point. The point is that it should have been exchanged/refunded because the TV is broken but they wouldn't accept pictures (apparently because they think I'm going to photoshop them) and they wouldn't test it properly and said it's fine when it's not.

The point is that once the TV became damaged, however minor, it became yours.
If Panasonic is at all like Sony then they won't do in-house repairs on TV's under 42"/46". Been there with Sony. The OP's only other option, if 2001AV wouldn't get the TV repaired, would be to take it to an authorized Panasonic repair depot and have them fix it.

So by that logic if you dropped the TV and cracked the screen they'd have to take it back and refund your money? Good luck with that.
Why? I've never bought anything from this store. In fact, I've never set foot into one of their stores. I have no reason to contact their CEO.

2001AudioVideo Guarantees
Once it's scuffed it's no longer in the same condition as when purchased. That's why they charged a restocking fee.In-Store Exchange & Return Policy
Merchandise can be exchanged ... provided that the merchandise is in the same condition as when purchased, otherwise a MINIMUM 15% re-stocking fee will apply.
They should also have offered you the option to send the TV back to Panasonic for repair. (I appreciate you said the sales rep didn't see anything wrong with the TV. That's not his call, a point you could have made if you'd had a copy of the page I just linked to when you brought the TV back.)Full Manufacturer's Warranty
All merchandise carries a full manufacturer's warranty and We Make it Simple For You. Bring the merchandise to us, during the manufacturers' warranty, with the original invoice, and we will have it serviced by an authorized manufacturers service centre at no additional charge to you ...our valued customer.

I see. So based on your (possibly biased) version of a single bad experience at a single store with a single salesperson the conclusion is that 2001AV has lousy customers service, is disreputable and should be avoided by all.
What store(s) would that be? Can you name even one regular store or chain for which there isn't already at least one thread on RFD about some similarly bad experience that someone else has had?Just go to a regular store where they respect their customers.
