Ive tried acanac a year ago, the service was slow ~800kb/s, but that is probably because my CO is far ( i think ). The customer service is quick, but cannot help, because they are a call center in india (im assuming because of the accent) which pretty much re-reads info from the manual. The price was 33/month when i signed up
, im using rogers now.

I've had bad service with them. The internet service was slow and unstable. If it went out, it'd be out for at least 24 hours.
I ended up cancelling my service with them in July 2006. Recently I've found out that they are still charging me! I'm actually in the process of battling it out with them to get a refund.

StockR,
Are you saying that we canceled your service and didn't give you back your money? Please private message me and I will make sure it gets done emmediately. THis is not normal and we are not in the business of taking people's money and not providing service.

At one time we did have our DSL tech support in India. We closed down the Indian office in Aug of 2006. All of the DSL tech support is done in Canada now. We are also hiring a few more agents to increase our DSL phone support hours from 9-5 to 9-12.
We hope to have this in place before months end.
Best Regards,
Paul L.

I was with Acanac for about 2 months. The internet service was slow and very unstable. It often went out and seemed to go out for up to 24 hours sometimes.
With that said, I found their customer service to be more than satisfactory. I didn't like handling everything through e-mail, but to their credit, they gave me an instant refund with absolutely no hassle. They admitted they were having speed and reliability problems and promised it would be fixed soon, but I couldn't stick it out any longer. I took the refund and went elsewhere.
With that said, I would consider going back to Acanac if the speed and reliability issues were fixed. The problem is, how would I know if the issues were fixed unless I signed back up? It's a catch 22 situation, and I'm not sure I would want to go through the hassle of signing up just to cancel again if the service wasn't improved.
Perhaps Acanac should consider giving out free 1 month trials to former customers in order to try to lure them back by showing them that it has improved (if it even has). Perhaps even a 2 week free trial would be sufficient. The price is unbeatable, but the only way I will go back is if I knew for certain the issues were resolved._______________
