Adding memory to laptop
I have a Lenovo T61 laptop and it came with a 2GB memory.
Recently I came upon another 2GB memory, so I plugged that new one into the T61's 2nd pod..
Then when I power up the laptop, it doesn't look like the laptop is picking up the new memory.
When I goto the task manager, and look at the physical memory, it shows I have a total of 3143908, available of 2091760 and system cache of 1501200
does that look correct?
And when I use the system information, it only shows I have 2GB of memory.
is there a setting i need to set to use 4GB in the t61?
THANKS

What OS are you running? In order for your system to recognize 4gb of memory you'd need to run 64-bit windows, but your system information should still show 3.25gb of memory
