Adding memory to laptops

Is it fine to add more RAM to laptops?? I mean is it okay to open the case and add memory. Do I get any problem because of this

Also can I add a video card to a laptop if needed later??

Adding memory is fine, u might want to check if u have empty slots for ur new memory to go in.

You CAN NOT add a video card to a laptop.

thanks for the reply dude. Then i think i will go for a cheap centrino laptop and get a compatible ram from tigerdirect
