Thanks, but all gone.
I am signed up for notifications, but have not been mailed when advanced screenings come up. Did you find out via e-mail?

Just a heads up, we went to this same screening last night and at the theater, some people were asked to see ID when exchanging passes. Also, once in, they asked people to leave their cell phones with security. They also used a metal detector wand (like at the airport).
At the end of the movie, there was a mad scramble for people getting their cell phones back...so either leave your cell phones at home (yeah, right!) or leave the movie as soon as it's finished to beat the rush to get it returned...

Yeah, it was chaos last night. I thought I could try to put my iPhone in my back pocket, but when they were using a metal detector on people, they told them to turn around and they scanned their backs too!
As a heads up, this "no cell phone policy" only occurs when it is a movie by 20th Century Fox. If you go to other screenings, they don't take your phone away.
As for the movie, I thought it was reallllly good. I haven't seen a romantic comedy this good in a long time. Enjoy!

I agree. I understand that's their policy, but damn, have some respect. I think it's fair to say we all feel naked without our phones and then when we put it in possession of a stranger, all you can do is think about it. My cousins went with me yesterday and when the guy took out their phones out of the bag, the guy dropped them on the table and in a monotone voice, "Sorry". I understand there's a rush out of the theatre, but they really should organize it better.
That's a good idea! Next time I'm going to put it in my pants where my belt is.

I'm going to this sceening next week in Montreal and I was wondering:
Are you guys sure it was a metal detector? If so, why didn't it rang for everybody? Money is made with metal...

I went to yesterday's preview at ScotiaBank Theatre in Montreal. I think next week's preview is at AMC. so it might be different.
There were 4-5 security guys but they didn't use a metal detector nor did they search my gf's purse. I found their presence was useless.
but the movie was very good. I liked it. it's very funny.
I think you guys will like it too.

I was there too. No ID check. No metal detector. The security only asked to turn switch phone in vibrate or turn off.

Tell your boyfriend it's going to be awesome and he will be glad he decided to watch it!
After watching the trailer, I honestly thought it was a chick flick, but I still wanted to watch it. After watching it, I thought it was one of those movies that kinda catered to the guy, but girls would still love it (My fiance did!). It was a really well done romantic comedy. Enjoy!

For those going to the Vancouver screening, it's also fun to pick out all the Vancouver filming locations in the movie...there are several.
They were filming downtown at the public library which I recognized right away in the movie...

I've just released some passes online as I can't make it to the movie tonight, so hopefully will be able to use them instead.
