Adverts in signatures -- without external links nor links to RFD threads

It's becoming common for peeps to "promote" "deals" in their signature without including an external link or a link to a RFD thread for the supposed deal. Is this practice considered advertising by RFD?

For example, this user's signature:
AMEX OFFERS ARE BACK!
AMEX Biz Plat: 75k Signup bonus ($750) + $125 Cashback ($499 Annual Fee)
AMEX Personal Plat: 60k Signup Bonus ($750) + $75 Cashback ($699 Annual Fee, but free $200 Travel Credit)
IMO, this is an unpaid advert promoting a product and a company. Such signature would be acceptable (legit) if there were links to RFD threads where those particular deals/companies/products are being discussed. Otherwise is just an advert.

I agree. These types of signatures should include a link to the original RFD thread for the offer(s). If you see any please report them.
